About Issue 2:

A year ago, a conversation sparked the idea for creating a print publication, which we could use to give photographs a place to live in. Our main motivation came out of the shared frustration with how we publish photography online. A photograph only exists for a fleeting moment on a screen and due to fast scrolling a series of such turns into a gibberish movie. A printed photograph lives with you until you throw it away or your house burns down. Furthermore, the magazine provides enough ground for photographs and text to coexist in harmony. No other unavoidable visual noise. Design has a great deal importance to this publication as well. If the photographs and paragraphs are the gears, design is the lubricant. Ensuring that all runs smoothly.

This second issue of GOOD NEWS is the result of inspiring encounters with other authors, days of photographic exploration and long nights of fierce writing. We are grateful that you will soon be holding this journal in your hands. Producing a fine magazine that satisfies our need for printed media only fuels our enthusiasm for doing more.
We hope this issue of GOOD NEWS takes you on an inspiring ride through the visual and emotional depths of photography. From the cloudy sunset cover through the many warm collages to the frozen land of Iceland. From the skies of meteorites and air mail to the valley of the shadow moon. From the streets of Italy to the guts of photographic equipment.
Most of all, it is our greatest wish that you feel inspired by the pages of this journal. Maybe you will learn something new or you will encounter unfamiliar ideas that open up new perspectives for you. Whatever the case would be, we hope the ride is good!

This second issue of GOOD NEWS Issue 2 is created by Damyan Doumanov and Jahan Saber with contributions by:
